AccessAble Braille Enterprises

AccessAble Braille is a micro business, established in 2015 so is almost ten years old. Ros and colleagues have print disability and use appropriate technology to specialise in braille and audio production using only human voice readers working from home. Each new project is specifically designed to meet the needs of the end user and all relevant options are explored.

Individual and corporate fees are subject to variation in the complexity of material to be transcribed. Ros coordinates a team of thirteen volunteers which includes editing of audio projects in conjunction with Albatross Computers of Woy Woy. Volunteers are scattered around Australia and have relevant skills relating to reading and recording of materials.

Braille transcription is shared with a colleague in Sydney and includes files of various lengths from one page condolence letters to international humanitarian documents and anything in between including:

  • Newsletters
  • Books for older children
  • Poetry collections
  • Braille menus
  • Audio transcription projects

Other request are welcome.
